Administration
Head of School - Nicole Cook (she/her) joined the staff at Three Tree in 2019, having been a school parent and serving on the school’s board of trustees for 3 years. She holds an AMI Primary diploma and BA in Business Administration. Nicole feels fortunate to have found an educational method that allows each child the opportunity to follow his or her interests. Nicole has two daughters, both of whom are graduates of elementary Montessori programs. She enjoys crime dramas, baking, relaxing at the fire pit in her backyard, and camping with her family.
Business Manager - Mark Bremen (he/him) joined Three Tree in 2023 after serving as Director of Operations for another local private school. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business and feels fortunate to have found Three Tree after running a school as well as several other small and large scale organizations throughout his career. He has a daughter at Portland State and a son at West Seattle High School. Mark enjoys cars, travel, movies, anything business related, and the Seahawks.
Admissions and Enrollment Manager - Sawyer Pouliot (she/her) joined Three Tree in 2015 as a Toddler Assistant in the Hawthorn environment. She holds an AMI Assistant to Infancy (Toddler) Diploma as well as a doctorate in International Health and Development. Prior to coming to Three Tree, Sawyer spent over a decade working in maternal and child health in sub-Saharan Africa. Sawyer’s passion for the development of young children eventually landed her at TTMS where she continues to feel energized by observing children master new skills. In August 2021 Sawyer transitioned to an administrative role. Sawyer is the proud mother of three children: Grace, Emma, and Reuben. When she’s not at TTMS, Sawyer enjoys hiking and camping with her family, traveling, and baking with her children.
Montessori Coach- Elizabeth Stanaway (she/her) is a Montessori child herself. Montessori philosophy has been integral in her life in all endeavors: working with a home school group, as a Peace Corps volunteer in southern Africa, and now as a mother of a ten-year-old daughter who also attends school at Three Tree Montessori. With a BA in Anthropology and a MA in Montessori Education, Elizabeth has worked at TTMS for the past 16 years. She continues to enjoy being part of such a supportive and engaging community.
Administrative Assistant - Elijah Yale (he/him) is thrilled to join Three Tree Montessori this year as their new Administrative Assistant. Elijah was originally born in Tennessee and has lived in a number of states since then, but he's been living in Washington for the last 10 years. He graduated with an associate degree from Bellevue College and a Bachelor's Degree from North Seattle College in Early Childhood Education in 2021 and 2023 respectively and plans to continue his postgraduate education in the future. He is coming to TTMS with experience working as a Montessori Teaching Assistant and a STEM After-school Program Coordinator and is deeply committed to working in education and strengthening the communities he works with. In this newest venture, he is confident he will be a wonderful addition to the TTMS family and community. When he's not at the front desk, Elijah enjoys movies, reading, listening to music, cooking, games of all kinds, and spending time with his family. He also greatly enjoys spending time with his fiancée and his dog.
