We already pay tuition. Why is TTMS asking for more money?
Tuition doesn’t cover costs alone; the Annual Fund provides essential funds that pay for salaries, classroom materials, field trips, maintenance, and tuition assistance. When giving to this Fund, families are asked to give according to their ability. These voluntary donations are tax deductible; tuition costs are not.

When is the annual fund campaign held?
Three Tree’s annual fund campaign is generally held each fall. In recent years, it has officially kicked off on GivingTuesday and runs through December 31.

Can I make a recurring gift?
Absolutely! Dividing your gift into monthly payments is a way to make your donation more manageable. $10, $20, $50, $100 a month--it adds up. Recurring gifts should be completed by June 30, 2024.

If you would like to make a monthly recurring gift to our school, or to fulfill your pledge on specific dates throughout the year, you can do so through this form, which will direct you to set up your payment schedule and credit/debit card via PayPal. This will require you to establish a personal PayPal account, if you do not already have one.

Important Note: If you would like to use this form to set up recurring payments to fulfill a pledge, select the amount you would like to give as a recurring payment rather than the total amount you are pledging to give. For example, if you want to give $200 over a 4 month period, select $50 as your amount and set the drop-down box to Monthly with an end date that is four months from the current date.

If you do not want to establish or utilize a PayPal account, but would still like to make a recurring gift, please contact Mark Bremen at mark.bremen@threetree.org or 206-242-5100. Mark can assist you in processing your recurring gift via your school tuition account.

How much should I give?
We hope you give at a level that is meaningful to you and your family. Your donation to the school is vitally important, regardless of the size. No amount is insignificant. Here are some examples of items that fall under our General Operating account, and can put into perspective just how far your financial contribution could go: $6 covers the cost of one ream of paper, and $50 is the equivalent to one staff person completing their required annual CPR/First Aid training. As you know, we also value the beauty of classroom environments: $140 is the cost of the metal insets, $150 is the cost of one pink tower, up to $175 for a puzzle map, and a complete bead cabinet can reach upwards of $2000.

What if I am unable to donate at this time of year?
If this time of year is not a good time of year for your family, you can make a pledge now and contribute by June 30th for the 2023-2024 Annual Fund. Use this pledge form.

How do I make a donation?

  • Make a donation with this form.
  • Make checks payable to Three Tree Montessori School, and our address is 220 SW 160th St., Burien, WA 98166.

How do I find out if my company matches my donation?
Employer-matched gifts are an incredible way to increase the impact of your own gift. Many companies in the Puget Sound area match their employee’s charitable gifts. Most companies match 1:1, meaning your gift is matched dollar-for-dollar, but some companies match 1:2 and some match 1:3. Check with your HR representative to find out more about the matching gift program.

What is the financial goal for the Annual Fund Campaign?
Our goal is to raise $50,000 during the 2023-2024 TTMS Annual Fund Campaign.

More importantly, we strive for 100% participation from all TTMS community members during the campaign. Participation means that each member of our community makes a financial contribution to the school that is at a size meaningful and feasible for them.

Will I receive a tax benefit from my donation?
Yes! Burien Montessori School dba Three Tree Montessori School is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation; your gift will be tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Our tax ID is 02-0668449.
